About the firm:

My client is known to be a progressive and commercially successful firm. Our Disputes team act for a diverse range of clients involving wide-ranging issues and much of our work concerns clients and opponents based outside the UK. The Legal 500 rated the firm as a first-tier law firm for our excellent commercial litigation work. They are frequently involved in commercial dispute cases in the £1 million plus bracket. The immediate recruitment need arises from a new high-profile instruction in relation to a claim against our client for almost £200 million in proceedings before the Commercial Court.

They will give you the scope to work with lawyers at all levels within the team to build your experience across a variety of commercial litigation cases, working directly with a wide range of clients.

About the role:

You will have experience of working in a commercial litigation department in a reputable, commercial law firm and are now looking to move into a firm where you can accelerate your career through a varied, complex and high value case load.

The Dispute Resolution team in Cambridge takes on a considerable number of both national and international high value cases. As such, this hands-on role presents an opportunity for the right candidate to shine in a small team.

This role has responsibility for assisting our Partner-level Director Huw Wallis and his experienced team by supporting them on major cases, alongside managing your own portfolio of smaller cases. It relies on effective communication and so you should possess excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to form strong relationships with senior colleagues and clients.
