Legal and Democratic Services Officer

A public sector organisation in Greater Manchester requires a Legal and Democratic Services Officer to assist them through an exciting and innovative period of change.

The post is for an initial fixed two-year period, with the strong likelihood of extension or permanent offer of employment.

Day to day duties:

- Providing complex and professional, legal and democratic advice to the organisation and third parties
- Advising on Freedom of Information, Data Protection and Environmental Regulations as required
- Assisting the Head of Legal, and working alongside other Legal Officers on a variety of matters to include; company law, commercial law, contracts and procurement amongst others


The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, with previous public sector experience, and will be a Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister.
