Education Solicitor

My client, a highly regarded and long established Top 50 firm are looking for a Solicitor with experience in the education sector including secondary institutions. You will get involved in an exciting range of work including entrances and exclusions, higher education, special education needs and public law review.

My client is a First-Tier firm in Education in the Legal 500 and lead the industry in terms of reported cases. You will regularly advise parents, schools and academies and national charities on a range of education law issues. As part of your role, you will enjoy the challenge of working on cutting-edge case law, raising the firm’s profile and giving informative talks on legal issues.

Demonstrable experience and a reputation for generating frequent referrals of matters in this field are highly desirable.

As an ambitious and expanding business, my client is interested in speaking to senior individuals, or established teams, looking for new challenges in the Education sector.

You will pride yourself on your exceptional client care and communication skills, ability to cope under pressure and time management skills.

Educational institutions need to be adaptable and the sector is undergoing fundamental shifts yet again. You will help deliver the best possible outcome for organisations, whatever changes they face.

You experience will help you provide proactive support to clients facing these changes, including:

• Education law including disability discrimination, SEN, safeguarding, admissions and exclusions and complaints
• Public law reviews
• Data protection
• Commercial advice
• Land and building matters
