The Firm
This award-winning local firm in the Maidstone area is particularly known for its specialist work in public-sector matters, taking instruction from local authorities and community organisations. The firm is currently embarking on a period of expansion and is now looking for an experienced sales manager with a strong understanding of business development to drive the business forward. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding firm with excellent prospects for the future.

The Role
The role calls for a sales manager with previous experience working for a progressive law firm, and who understands the particular requirements of local government and other public sector clients. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of preparing bids and tenders as well as a dynamic approach to sales and marketing across the board. Reporting to the director of business development, the role is first and foremost a sales role and you will be expected to attain a very high level of the same, with a focus on establishing leads for the group heads to follow up and setting up meetings at director level.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will be currently employed in a similar role, and have a robust, determined approach to finding new clients in a competitive marketplace. You should be adept at identifying new leads, persuasive, with excellent client care skills, and be comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. There will be substantial telephone contact with potential clients and you will be expected to set up meetings at director level.
