Your new company
This specialist children's health services provider and research centre is currently looking for a Deputy Trust Solicitor to join its legal team for a short-term cover in May. This role is part-time (3 days a week). You will help with a broad range of legal work due to the high demand for legal services within the organisation.
Your new role
You will run inquests from beginning to end, run applications to the Family Division of the High Court, including Emergency Treatment Orders, End of Life Care applications, Wardship applications and Withdrawal of Treatment applications. You will report to the Trust Solicitor, working alongside two other Deputy Trust to provide training, advice and support to a range of non-legal professionals, particularly as regards criminal matters, as well as consent and PR.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least 2 years' relevant PQE in Trust law, though applications with candidates who have more experience are also encouraged. You should be comfortable providing legal guidance and advice to non-legal professionals. If an offer is made, you will be required to undertake a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check.
