My Client's Commercial Property department deals with a broad portfolio of properties all over the country for a wide range of clients.

The Role:

The Commercial Property department is looking to recruit an assistant to join the team in Bury St Edmunds to continue its growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the conveyancing process, be personable, quick thinking, have a sense of humour and a committed team player.


To efficiently undertake legal support, administration and clerical duties which includes:

  • Support fee earners on client matters including: file administration; drafting standard documentation and correspondence; liaising with clients/third parties; completing search forms and online applications with relevant agencies, including post completion matters.
  • Data input, data extraction, photocopying, faxing, filing and word processing/typing duties as directed.
  • Dealing with internal and external post and emails on a day to day basis including occasional collecting and taking of post to and from DX, Post Office, sorting Office as required.
  • Answering /dealing  with queries, both face to face and via the telephone, take messages accurately and pass them onto the relevant member of staff in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Supporting the team to maintain accurate, timely and legible records.
  • Meeting and greeting clients and visitors as required.
  • Maintaining filing systems in line with current procedures.
  • Be a flexible and supportive team member of the team.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
