A prestigious US law firm with an outstanding global reputation in the legal market is seeking a Financial Regulatory Associate to join its Banking and Financial Institutions practice in London. This leading firm is a global and UK leader in this area of law and it advises many of the largest and most significant US and international banking entities in the world on the full range of banking, securities and regulatory matters. This law firm has a continuous history of being awarded industry accolades for its Financial Regulatory work.

Your new role
The successful candidate should have advised across a full range of issues and should ideally have experience of working with banks, asset managers, market infrastructure providers and other financial institutions on a wide range of national and international regulation. The type of work you will be instructed on will include domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, strategic alliances, private equity investments and capital markets transactions, rescue operations, recapitalizations and regulatory transformations arising from the 2008 financial crisis, litigation and arbitration arising from complex financial matters, and The Basel III capital and liquidity rules.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm is looking for a Financial Regulatory Associate Solicitor with around 3-5 years post qualification experience gained in a magic circle or leading US law firm in London. The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2-3 years' PQE in the financial regulatory world and will have qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales. The role will require excellent experience in managing client relationships, business development and the ability to assist clients on day to day assignments. The successful candidate must also possess the skills to take on a high level of responsibility and manage a challenging work load within a fast paced, intellectually challenging and supportive environment. The successful candidate must also possess a first class academic record.
