Head of Commercial and Property Law required to join well regarded local authority for an initial 6 month basis, with the possibility of extension thereafter.
As the Head of Commercial and Property Law, you will be leading the Commercial Law group who provide legal support to departments when making high risk and critical decisions. Some of the main duties of this role will include:
- Providing robust legal advice to Chief Officers
- Directly managing the Principal Commercial Solicitor and the Principal Commercial Property Solicitor
- Implementing the council's commercialisation strategy
The ideal candidate must demonstrate senior legal expertise from either the public sector or private practise, with strong negotiation skills and a flair for high level stakeholder management.
This is a great opportunity for a commercially savvy individual to lead a fantastic team, including two Principal Solicitors that will report into you.
