Salary: £36,379 - £38,237 per annum
Location: Loxley House, Nottingham
Contract type: Permanent

We are looking for an enthusiastic Solicitor/Barrister to join our busy in-house team at Nottingham City Council.
You will be based in the Housing, Employment & Education Team predominantly working in the area of Employment and Education with a mix of contentious and non-contentious work.
The work is extremely varied. There is a full range of employment work including Employment Tribunal litigation and variety of non-contentious matters (including restructures, TUPE situations
(insourcing & outsourcing) and contractual queries). The team also deals with a full range of education matters including Special Educational Needs appeals, school organisation together with a range of queries from maintained schools and academies.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and drafting skills and  be able to manage a full and varied caseload with minimum supervision and undertake advocacy in the Employment Tribunal and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal.
