Our client is a national law firm and they are looking for a further Solicitor, 1-5 years PQE to deal with Claimant PI in the Serious Injury team in the Manchester office

Serious Injury

Spinal cord, head and other serious injuries can cause huge disruption to the lives of both the sufferer and their loved ones. They can mean a total rethink of major life decisions, affecting your family members, employment, healthcare and everyday life. Serious injuries are by nature hugely traumatic and need to be handled with utmost care and expertise. This serious injury department pride themselves on making a real difference and can help a person to live a life as full as possible after a serious injury. They have years of experience in helping people claim compensation for serious injuries and have specialist teams across the UK.

The Role

This is one of the few firms to offer a rare opportunity to specialise in this high profile, and deeply rewarding area of personal injury law. Ideally, candidates will have Claimant or Defendant multi track serious / catastrophic injury related experience and will have some experience working on high value and complex cases involving brain injury, head injury, upper and lower limb amputations or severe orthopaedic injury related cases.

They are looking for candidates with specific spinal cord injury claims experience as this forms a crucial part of the teams work and caseload.

As a Solicitor in the team, you will lead the investigation and litigation in a range of Serious Injury cases, working as part of a team to maximise client damages and optimise costs recover. You will also assist in developing external relationships across the North West to provide an exceptional client experience and generate new cases.

To be successful in this role you must;

  • Have experience of around 1-5 years Personal Injury litigation experience, ideally in Serious Injury cases involving brain injury, spinal injury and amputees.
  • Have a strong appetite for business development, able to build successful relationships with medical professionals. Existing contacts in the North West would be an advantage.
  • Be able to operate independently and as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for our clients and develop other team members.
  • Have excellent client care and inter-personal skills, operating with integrity and showing empathy and intuition.
