Legal Counsel - E-commerce

One of the worlds biggest e-commerce companies is looking for an experienced German Lawyer to work as part of their In-house team based in Berlin. The role would be perfect for someone with a broad commercial background, ideally a qualification in Germany, and some experience working In-house in e-commerce, technology, or retail. This is an exceptional opportunity to work for a reputable, multinational, and instantly recognisable brand.

The successful Lawyer will work in a strategic position as part of the legal team; collaborating with stakeholders across the business to give operational and commercially driven legal advice to the company. Your role will encompass drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts (marketing, IT, technology, etc), supporting on M&A transactions, advising on litigation, and supporting and managing the IP function. Whilst your role will focus on several specific business streams, you will support the global brand and partner with other legal teams across the world.

Applications are invited from German qualified lawyers (those qualified in the UK or Denmark with German experience will be considered) who can comfortably communicate in both English and German, and demonstrate significant experience working in e-commerce, IT, IP, commercial contracts, and privacy matters.
