Progressive and forward thinking firm seeks talented Litigation Solicitor to head their litigation department. This position offers genuine autonomy and excellent opportunities for progression for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will manage and develop the litigation department whilst handling a varied caseload of litigation matters.

The caseload will be varied and will include professional negligence, ToLATA claims, contentious probate, contract disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, boundary disputes, debt recovery and commercial property and construction disputes.

The firm has realistic expectations and sets easily achievable targets for chargeable hours which will enable the postholder to develop the department. They will be given the support and freedom to build upon the departments past successes and will be suitably rewarded for doing so.

There are realistic opportunities for progression to Directorship making this ideally suited to ambitious Solicitors with the desire to advance their career at a reputable firm.

In order to be considered for this position you must be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive capable of handling a varied litigation caseload autonomously. As the lead lawyer in this practice area you will have excellent technical knowledge and will be able to advise more junior members of staff on complex matters. A degree of experience supervising staff is an essential requirement.
