Clinical Negligence Solicitor - Leeds

A leading insurance practice seeks to appoint a defendant clinical negligence solicitor at the 2+PQE level to their Leeds office.

The role will involve handling a challenging caseload of defendant clinical negligence work on behalf of the NHSLA. This will include drafting pleadings, witness statements and letters of response, conducting face to face negotiations and mediation of claims as well as preparing counter schedules. You'll act as first and primary contact for clients on a day to day basis providing them with commercially focused legal advice, adhering closely to their protocol and processes.

NHSLA panel firm experience would be preferable, but not essential as would an understanding of the NHS and their business drivers, including knowledge of and ability to deliver against protocols and KPIs. It is imperative that candidates demonstrable the ability to adopt a commercial perspective rather than an academic approach to legal issues and to be highly client focused.

Exposure to a high quality caseload, competitive salary & benefits and genuine career progression are on offer as part of this role.

Florit Brooke advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.
