Are you an experienced Construction Lawyer looking for a role where you can really spread your wings and join a firm where there is real scope to make a difference? As the first dedicated construction lawyer within the firm, it is critical that you have an outward facing approach and are not afraid of looking at ways to develop business. There is a certain amount of work there at the moment, some that is referred out and can be brought back into the firm, some that is handled by non-construction lawyers, this work can be consolidated giving a base of work immediately, however there will be the need to develop this further. There will be plenty of support in doing so as the firm have a highly collegiate approach, across the firm as well as within the teams, they have a flourishing and busy property team that handles both residential and commercial development work, they also have an outstanding business development and marketing team which would offer every support.

The kind of work that they would be looking for someone to handle is a broad range of construction and engineering issues including work for developers, tenants or funders. Ideally you would handle both contentious and non-contentious construction matters however they understand that a lot of lawyers focus on one or the other and are happy to hear from lawyers who focus on either.
