Lancaster City Council’s Legal Services are expanding their planning and regeneration capacity. The city has many new opportunities for business, commercial and residential development, and we are therefore seeking two planning Lawyers.
It is essential that you are familiar with current planning law, practice and procedure which is evidenced by at least two years’ experience. You will need an appetite for change and competency to cope with a fast-moving environment.
We can offer you a challenging career and early exposure to major development projects. You will be part of a supportive team of lawyers who aim to change the perception of local government legal services in the North West. These posts are suitable for candidates looking for a longer-term career in the public sector.
We offer attractive conditions for work, and are happy to consider flexible working, part time and job share applications. We value all applications from lawyers whether in house or private practise.
The hours of work for these positions are 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday and will be based at Lancaster Town Hall.
Should you wish to have a confidential discussion about this post please contact David Brown in Legal Services on 01524 582918.
