Our client has been established for over 100 years and the specialist shipping team has built an enviable reputation for its expertise across all aspects of shipping law. What makes this firm unique is its ability to combine over a century's worth of knowledge and expertise with a modern a forward thinking approach.
The shipping team acts for a variety of clients, including ship owners and operators, port authorities, insurers and P&I Clubs. Working closely with these clients, you will have a broad-ranging caseload, which could include demurrage claims, chart party disputers, speed and performance disputes, shipbuilding and repair disputes, and cargo claims.
The varied nature of this role makes it a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys taking on new challenges and working in an environment where every day offers something different. Furthermore, the wealth of training and support on offer at the firm means it is a great chance to really develop your knowledge and expertise in this area.
Our client is ideally looking for a solicitor from NQ level up to 4 years' PQE. While explicit experience in shipping would be highly beneficial, the firm is happy to consider a high-calibre commercial or civil litigation solicitor, who is committed to becoming a specialist in this area, but who perhaps hasn't had the opportunity to do so as yet.
