Planning Lawyer required to join a large local authority based in London for an initial 3 month period.
The successful Planning Lawyer must be able to handle a large caseload with minimal supervision. The work will be both transactional and advice oriented, and will include handling the following matters;
- Drafting high profile section 106 Agreements
- Drafting section 38 and 278 highway agreements
- Advising clients on planning and highway issues
- Dealing with judicial review applications and attending to advise at planning committees
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Planning department within a sought after local authority. Due to the fast paced nature of the work, it is important to this council that the successful candidate demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude, and is able to work with dynamism and professionalism.
The Council is situated within walking distance from shops, restaurants and excellent transport links, making it an easily commutable location.
The ideal candidate will have previous public sector experience, however this is not essential for the role. You must also have the demeanour and confidence to present well to clients and work well with other team members.
