Invicta Law is a force to be reckoned with. It is the UK's first standalone local authority ABS, making them unique and a highly sought-after place to work. It is also an extremely exciting organisation to work for, due to its structure, the wealth of experience already within the organisation, and future plans.

I am therefore delighted to disclose a current opportunity within Invicta Law, as they are seeking a Childcare Legal Assistant to join them on a permanent basis.

We feel that this is the perfect role for an enthusiastic candidate who is looking to break into a childcare role, or to develop their existing experience within childcare law. Our client is happy to consider applicants with any previous legal experience, providing they possess the ambition and willingness to learn. This makes it an extremely rare opportunity to get your foot in the door of a nurturing team and pioneering organisation.

The successful candidate will assist Lawyers with their day-to-day workload and act as a point of contact on a variety of cases, which may involve the following duties;

  • Taking instructions and giving advice
  • Carrying out research
  • Preparing applications
  • Drafting documents and correspondence
  • Commissioning and instructing expert witnesses
  • Liaising with witnesses
  • Attending meetings

Additionally, as this role progresses, the Childcare Legal Assistant may be given the opportunity to assist solicitors with their childcare cases.

Our client is really seeking a Legal Assistant who will make a positive contribution to the team, and has the ambition and motivation to build a successful career within childcare law.

The office is well located, with motorway links nearby, and within walking distance from two train stations, therefore it is easily commutable from London and the South East.

Opportunities to move into a new area of law without prior experience within that area are genuinely hard to come across, therefore if you are interested in this position, I urge you to apply as soon as possible.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Jessica Furlong in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion
