Financing Analyst Paralegal – Birmingham

This is an exciting opportunity for a financing analyst paralegal who has experience in managing negotiation from start to finish and the drafting of complex legal documents. The successful paralegal will be hands-on and handle a diverse caseload with an established In-house legal team in Birmingham. Duties will include, performing legal due diligence to establish counterparty’s authority and capacity to negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with netting and jurisdictional requirements, working with clients to progress and resolve legal matters to a conclusion by drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex legal documents and agreements. These will include, derivative contracts based on International Swaps and Derivatives Association ISDA documentation, credit support documents, deeds of guarantee, security documents, account control agreements, novation agreements and other related contracts. This role is suited to an experienced paralegal who is looking for greater responsibility in their work.

The candidate:

• A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar position
• Educated to degree level with a minimum grade of 2:1
• Previous document review or contract negotiation experience
• Ability to read and analyse complex legal documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
