JOB TITLE: Residential Development Solicitor

PQE REQUIRED: NQ-6 years PQE

THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking to recruit a Residential Development Solicitor to specialise in residential development work. The appointed Residential Development Solicitor will work on a caseload focused primarily on the acquisition of land for development purposes. Our client acts on behalf of a high number of the leading and most successful house builders in the UK. The role will encompass all aspects of residential development including land acquisitions and disposals, promotion agreements, regeneration and infrastructure. In addition, our client's team sit closely with the wider real estate team and there will be the opportunity to become involved in cross over work. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work on a niche caseload of development matters, working on behalf of respected and successful clients undertaking some of the largest and most complex projects in the UK. In addition, there will be the opportunity for the appointed Residential Development Solicitor to get involved in networking and establish themselves as a leading name within this field.

THE CANDIDATE:

This position will suit a Solicitor with up to six years of experience. The successful Residential Development Solicitor will have a strong academic background and will ideally have gained some solid post qualification experience at another leading firm. Our client is also happy to consider applications from NQ's who have undertaken some residential development work as part of their training contract or prior paralegal experience. During their career so far, the Residential Development Solicitor will be able to demonstrate legal experience of working on residential development work and will ideally have acted on behalf of a similar calibre of client. What our client is keen to see is enthusiasm for this sector of work and a desire to act on behalf of house builders in residential development matters. This is excellent team to join, who are keen to promote a supportive working environment and therefore the Residential Development Solicitor should be able to demonstrate that they are a keen team player and has professional yet personable communication skills.
