Associate - Real Estate, - Cardiff

My client are a top-tier real estate practice group whose remit encompasses premier institutional, inward and property company investment mandates, multi-jurisdiction portfolio management, complex fund structuring, energy-related real estate projects and precedent setting regeneration schemes. We have a formidable team both nationally and internationally and are proud of the work we are doing for our clients. The team works on virtually every form of major infrastructure and development project in the market today; shaping the law and delivering the projects that matter.

Key responsibilities:

The core real estate team in Cardiff has dedicated teams across the energy, transport, corporate occupiers, real estate finance, investment and funds, commercial and residential leasing, social housing and education sectors. We are looking for Associates from newly qualified to 5 years’ PQE with particular interest or experience in those sectors. You would assist on instructions and projects for a variety of clients including many household names.

Skills and experience:

Experience of drafting contracts including leases and agreements
• Strong technical skills and excellent academic qualifications.
• Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to build and develop excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients

Ideally you will have experience in core real estate work including (but not limited to): acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, portfolio management and development transactions

Key competencies:

We are looking for team players, client focused with strong communication and influencing skills. Although our people work in sector based teams, we are looking for flexibility and the appetite to take on new and different types of work to support the wider department.

The ability to juggle a demanding workload whilst delivering first class quality work and client service is essential.

We're a modern, progressive law firm with a genuine commitment to equality, diversity and a family-friendly working environment. We think differently and we've built a culture where individual skills and personalities can shine through. That’s how we’ve become one of the largest law firms in the world and a great place to work and develop your career.
