We are looking for a Rural Property Solicitor with between 8-10 years’ experience to work on a 6 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave June - December. Your background will ideally be within agriculture; if not, you will have a genuine interest within this sector.
Job Responsibilities:
- To be instructed on mid/high value rural property transactions including sales, purchases and auctions and more complex Land Registry first registrations and to carry out those instructions with minimal day to day supervision/input.
- To provide support to other members of the team who are carrying out low-mid value transactions and assisting with mid-high value transactions in order for specific elements of that work to be carried out at a cost efficient level with correct level of supervision.
- To support the Private Wealth team in providing documents for property transfers required to facilitate tax planning and to assist with the administration of property matters for deceased estates
Person Specification:
You will have good client and team communication skills, excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Above all, you will be able to deliver succinct, quality and tailored advice to key clients. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and as a team player and will have high levels of motivation.
