The Role
A rare opportunity has now arisen for a client-focused Community Care Solicitor to take a lead role in the delivery of high quality legal advice and representation across all aspects of community care. With LAA Supervisor status, the successful Solicitor will assist and supervise casework and ensure all work is being carried out competently and in line with SRA and LAA regulatory requirements. Areas may include: needs assessments; continuing Health Care; home adaptions; judicial reviews; representation in Tribunals and Courts; independent living services; right to dignity and; funding issues.

Passionate about business development and networking, the successful Solicitor will build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external organisations and participate in initiatives as required. The ability to supervise volunteers and deliver training is highly advantageous as it is envisaged that this role will require the successful candidate to participate in appraisal training and support volunteers as required. The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with solid experience in Community Care;
Demonstrates excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in clear, jargon-free language;
Legal Aid Agency (LAA) Accredited Supervisor Status for Community Care is essential;
A good understanding and/or experience of Legal Aid billing;
Candidates will have proven IT and advocacy skills;
The ability to supervise volunteers and deliver training and presentations is highly advantageous;
Works well as part of a team but is equally comfortable working on their own initiative;
Has an aptitude for business development and networking.
