Senior Contracts & Intellectual Property Advisor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Contracts and Intellectual Property Advisor to join a prestigious academic institution based in the East Midlands.

The position will be for an initial period of 3 months; however this may be extended further. The assignment is offered on a full time basis.

It is essential for this role that you have experience of Higher Education legal work and a background of negotiating and drafting commercial contracts would be desirable.

Duties of the role will include:

• Contracts dealing with research and collaboration agreements
• NDA's for student projects working with industries
• Complex collaboration agreements for research departments
• Work protecting the intellectual property and commercialisation of it for research within industry

The position would be suited to a qualified lawyer who holds experience of working within an academic institution, unqualified candidates will also be considered where there evidence of significant experience.

The position offers a rate of £30-40 per hour dependant on experience.
