Compliance Manager

This firm are creating a new role for a Compliance Manager to join their fast growing, industry leading firm. This niche firm is a market leader and have recently relocated to exceptional new office space in the City to allow for further growth.

The firm

A specialist Construction & Real Estate firm who are ranked highly in the Legal 500 is expanding and relocating to larger premises and is creating a brand-new post for a Practice Manager. This firm has one of the best-known names for quality Real Estate work and punches well above their weight; their work quality is on par with top City firms.

Many of the lawyers are ranked in the Chambers, they deal with transactions at a Magic Circle level and have over 200 years of expertise. The firm attracts many Lawyers from Magic and Silver circles looking for a high quality of work but wanting to work in more of a relaxed environment and perhaps have a better work-life balance. The firm work with all the large banks and have a Real Estate focus in all the areas they practice across. They have recently attracted two new teams from top City firms; this acquisition has significantly increased workload. The firm now has just over 50 fee earners in total.

The role

The firm is seeking to recruit a Compliance Manager for their City of London based office.

Currently, one Partner deal with the day to day compliance the business each having different responsibilities. This has always worked well, although workload has increased, and they have taken on several new Partners increasing the headcount with further growth planned due to a surge of new work, the firm is now looking for a Compliance Manager to join the firm.

You will take away this responsibility from the Managing Partner. Initially it may not require full time hours so you will deal with other duties, but with the current increase in capacity this looks likely to be short-lived.

You will be responsible for the firms COLP and COFA.

Requirements:

• You will be an experienced Compliance Officer, or an experienced Lawyer with a technically excellent understanding of COLP and COFA
• You should have a meticulous eye for detail
• You should be a very commercially minded candidate
• Salary is negotiable depending on your level of experience
