Leeds City Council is inviting applications for three roles within legal services. The successful candidate for each post will be a Solicitor or Barrister or FCILEx. All candidates must demonstrate knowledge and experience in the specified area of law, in addition to excellent interpersonal skills. An ability to
hold a personal caseload of complex matters, to prioritise and work to tight deadlines, work flexibly to find pragmatic solutions and a willingness to develop new areas of expertise will be essential.

All roles offer the opportunity for flexible
working and generous annual leave entitlement (up to 28 days, excluding bank
holidays, rising to 33 days after 5 years’ service). Leeds City Council is a member of the West Yorkshire Pension Fund.

PO6 Team Leader - Principal Legal Officer
(Property & Development) – to £43,821

We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge and experience
of Planning and Highways matters, including complex Planning
Appeals/Inquiries, Environmental Law, Compulsory Acquisition and
Waste management to provide clear and comprehensive advice to
the Council as well as attend Committee and Board Meetings.
