Job Details

We are looking to recruit a Scottish Real Estate Lawyer with at least 6 months PQE. You should have strong academics coupled with first-class experience from a firm with a solid commercial real estate practice.
Team
Burges Salmon's nationally renowned Real Estate is ranked Tier 1 and our team comprises of 13 partners and more than 65 other fee earners and, is consistently ranked in the top tier category by both the Legal 500 and Chambers. The team provides expertise to the real estate sector through many practice areas which include investment, development, environment, finance, landowner, renewables, rural property, etc.
Work
Our Scottish Real Estate team is the largest and most experienced team headquartered in England. The team acts for a full range of clients, including institutional investors, listed and private property companies, banks, developers, public sector bodies, corporate occupiers and high net worth individuals. Our Real Estate team cover handles issues across a wide variety of sectors and “matches the service and performance of significantly bigger firms” (Chambers) and the successful applicant will undertake work in all areas of the department's practice, working for a number of the Real Estate partners.
Salary and benefits
Salary from £48,000 (depending on PQE) + comprehensive benefits package, including generous relocation allowance.
The firm will also support and fund the successful candidate to become dual qualified (if the applicant is not already English law qualified), including study leave and exam hotel expenses. The post holder will have a spread of work in both jurisdictions enabling a genuine dual-qualified experience, with the benefit of retaining and building on existing Scottish knowledge and skills, whilst developing new expertise in the English market.
This role may suit flexible working, so we will consider applications from candidates who are looking for a part-time opportunity
