We have an exciting opportunity at the Phone-paid Services Authority for an experienced Data Protection Lawyer to join our dynamic organisation.  The role will primarily be responsible for ensuring that we fulfil our obligations and requirements under UK and EU data protection law, in particular the GDPR, and is suited to a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least 5 years PQE and sound knowledge and experience in data protection law. 

The role sits at management level, with responsibility for regular reporting to the Audit Committee, and will support the Board and Executive in achieving and maintaining compliance.  

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with high intellectual capability and effective project management experience.  A real self-starter who possesses a strong emphasis on professionalism, quality and timeliness of support. 

In addition to being the organisations data protection expert, the role will also at times require you to provide legal support in regulatory investigations and adjudicatory work, as well as giving legal advice on general commercial matters, or policy projects.
