£37,483 to £42,957 per annum full-time pro rata (inc. Outer London Weighting and dependent upon experience) plus 3% pension  

About this Job

This is an exciting role for someone who is looking for their next career development move.  The organisation has recently been recognised as a centre of legal excellence. The successful candidate will be 3-5+ years PQE with a working knowledge of both private and public family law. You will have a good working knowledge of Legally Aided Family work and able to efficiently manage your caseload. The role will involve dealing with a range of family cases including; divorce, dissolution of civil partnership, financial proceedings, matters concerning private children matters and care proceedings, non-molestation Injunctions and an ability to undertake your own advocacy.  

You will be a member of the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme; or a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Advanced Accreditation scheme (having passed the “violence in the home” module or previously held adult representative status on the Children Law Accreditation Scheme) or a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Domestic Abuse.  You will also be a LAA family category supervisor or working towards.

You will be a professional looking with a pro-active approach, have excellent client care skills and a vision of how to successfully develop and grow the project.

The role is based at Citizens Advice Barking and Dagenham and you will also work in outreach in Romford. This role offers an excellent chance for a dedicated individual to develop their career and join an expanding team that is supportive and encouraging.

You will report to the SQM Project Manager and work closely with the Director, both of whom have family law and legal aid experience and share a strong commitment to ensure the post holder’s success.
