A leading full-service international law firm is seeking to further develop its real estate finance offering with the appointment of a technical Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its Exeter offices. The team acts on behalf of a range of clientele including registered providers of affordable housing, lenders, funders, institutional investors, and security trustees. They advise across all aspects of property due diligence work required in relation to both portfolio acquisitions and securing various finance structures.

Within this post, the successful candidate will be tasked with providing advice to borrowers and funders upon the charging of residential and mixed development sites and social housing; assisting with the property aspects of large scale capital markets issues and large scale loan refinancing for RP clients; due diligence for property portfolios, development and regeneration schemes; running smaller charging transactions; overseeing more junior colleagues; acting on behalf of funders on approval and consents to various legal documents entered into by borrowers; assisting with other housing and regeneration work, and playing an active part in the firm’s business development initiatives.

Applications are encouraged from Solicitors and Legal Executives with strong technical property development or security work gained within private practice. Experience of working with housing clients will be advantageous.
