Employability Manager

The University of Law is one of the UK’s leading provider of legal education and training, working right at the heart of the legal profession. We bring together teaching of the highest quality, a focus on practical skills and innovative learning styles to deliver perfect preparation for life in legal practice and ongoing professional development.

We currently have a vacancy within our Employability team which plays a key part in our commitment to and delivery of careers and pro bono at our London Campuses.

You will be responsible for managing the operational delivery of careers and pro bono programmes across two sites in London. This will include the supervision of students carrying out legal work, including some legal advice centre activity, client liaison, sourcing and maintaining relationships with external partners and continuous development of the service we are able to offer to our students. You will also be required to oversee the Careers Events Programme and ensure that careers activities meet the needs of the students.

For this role you will need to be a qualified solicitor or barrister with post qualification experience and a practicing certificate. You will ideally have experience of, or a genuine interest in pro bono delivery or clinical education or have experience of managing trainees. A Diploma in Careers Guidance is desirable.

We offer an excellent range of competitive benefits including a generous annual leave allowance, private medical scheme, contributory pension scheme, life assurance, training and qualifications, and travel loans.

Please visit our website www.law.ac.uk/vacancies for a full job description, person specification and application form. Please email your completed application form to work@law.ac.uk.

Please note, CVs will not be considered and only application forms are accepted for this role.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including the Children’s Barred List and Adult’s Barred List.  Any offer of employment and subsequent commencement of employment is subject to a satisfactory check, which may delay a start date with the University.
