Job Title: Litigation Locum

Job description: We are currently recruiting for a Litigation Locum to join a Local Authority in Central East Scotland for 4 months with the likelihood of extension.
The successful candidate will be dealing with:
- Providing legal advice and assistance at all levels of the Council, its officials and, on occasions, to its members, on all matters relating to Local Authority functions
- Assisting in the provision of training to client departments, Council officials and on occasions to Members on new and anticipated legislation
- Undertaking court actions including antisocial behaviour orders, debt recovery actions, recovery of possession of Council housing, and statutory appeals, including responsibility for negotiating and settlement of cases
Applications are welcome from candidates with previous Housing Disrepair experience who are qualified in Scottish law. Previous experience working within a Local Authority is desirable.
Hourly rate: £30 - £40
