Criminal and Regulatory Solicitor (NQ – 3 Years)

This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior Crime Solicitor to join a National, Legal 500 firm at their Leeds office. This role will suit a Solicitor who ideally has some Private Crime and/or Regulatory experience however, those with experience within general Crime will be considered if you have a real desire to specialise in Privately funded and Regulatory work.  The salary and benefits package is competitive and negotiable dependent on experience.

My client has offices across the UK and are Legal 500 and Chambers recommended across many practice areas, including Regulatory and Criminal Law.  You will join the specialist Criminal Defence team, headed by an experienced Partner, who deal with privately funded Criminal work, Regulatory and Disciplinary Proceedings, Inquests, Trading Standards and Judicial Review.  They often work on high profile cases which feature in the media and national press.

The successful Criminal Solicitor will join the already successful but growing team in Leeds.  You will advise and assist corporations who are facing prosecution regarding Health and Safety breaches, unlawful shootings where the police are concerned, death in custody, Inquests, disciplinary investigations, trading standards prosecutions and other regulatory matters.

Applications are invited from junior Criminal Solicitors.  If you are newly qualified, you must have at least completed a general crime seat within your Training Contract and have a genuine desire to specialise in Private and Regulatory work.  It is essential that you are Police Station Accredited and ideally you should have advocacy experience.
