Quantum Adviser – Leeds (12 Month FTC)
£63,000 - £75,000 inc car allowance - dependent on skills and experience.

This includes clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.
MPS seeks to appoint a Quantum Adviser on a 12 month fixed term basis.
Our quantum advisers are lawyers with extensive experience in assessing damages in clinical negligence or catastrophic personal injury claims to support and advise our established claims management Division.
The role holder will provide specialist input and guidance into the valuation of claims and deliver technical advice, resource and governance to enable and support the delivery of a world class claims management service to MPS members.
To be considered you will need to be a very experienced Solicitor or Barrister who can take a proactive and strategic approach to valuing claims, whilst at the same time possessing a significant understanding of the key importance of accurate data collection and estimating. You will be able to demonstrate experience in clinical negligence or catastrophic personal injury claims combined with experience of drafting Schedules of Loss and/or Counter Schedules and experience in providing advice on appropriate settlement values. Ideally we would also seek candidates with proven skills in establishing and managing a knowledge data base and confidence in data analysis including spotting trends and shifts.
Applicants must have excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and an understanding of how and why proactive claims management is essential to the success of the organisation. The ability to remain calm and professional in the face of challenge and assertion and to resolve conflict in an effective and professional manner will be advantageous. This role may be suitable for candidates with around 7+ years PQE Clinical Negligence/Catastrophic PI and candidates from the Bar are encouraged to apply. Defendant experience would be advantageous.
