Job Details
An experienced Civil Liberties Solicitor with particular experience handling actions against the police matters is required for the East London office of a growing Legal 500 firm.
The firm opened their London office relatively recently but have successfully developed their presence in the London market over the last few years; so much so they have recently obtained a number of new Legal Aid contracts.
As a result a supervising solicitor recognised as such under the LAA is needed. With plans for expansion, this is an opportunity to join and personally drive the development of the department.
To be considered for this role, you must be:
- A qualified Solicitor already working as a Legal Aid Supervisor or able to take on this position in the next couple of months
- Experienced handling - complaints to the police and other relevant authorities; judicial review matters; claims for assault or unlawful or excessive force; and human rights claims amongst others
- A strong communicator able to work with clients from a variety of backgrounds
