Legal Secretary - Portsmouth (maternity leave cover)

A growing law firm with a number of offices along the South Coast with a great reputation for their professional yet friendly approach now have a number opportunities across several sites. The Residential Property team is continually expanding and further expertise is required in the shape of a Legal Secretary for the central Portsmouth Office to cover Maternity Leave. The position is expected to run for 12 months (with the possibility of further opportunities arising within that time)

If you are an experienced Legal Secretary who is able to deal confidently and competently in working with solicitors this could represent a great opportunity for you to provide key support to a successful and established team.

You should be conversant in all the relevant terminology relating to residential property matters, be highly organised and all round good communicator who enjoys being part of a team. You should have fast, accurate typing mainly via audio-transcription with some copy typing producing correspondence, draft documents and engrossments. Familiarity with case management systems (Videss) is highly advantageous and the confidence and competence to deal with individuals within the firm and deal with client interactions when required on the phone, in person and through correspondence is also key.

The office is within easy reach to the shopping areas, has good public transport links and is close to the greens and the seafront. They are a welcoming bunch, being professional and focused yet friendly in their approach.
