A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor specialising in both Family and Private Client work, to join a highly regarded firm based in Sunderland. Our client is a leading North East Law Firm with a national reach. This is a dynamic role in which you will run your own files, supervise the work of others and help with the marketing and development of the department. Â

This is a friendly department spread across both of the offices and the department was shortlisted for their expertise in Private Client both in the Northern Law Awards and the Law Society Excellence Awards.Â
The Role:Â
Taking on a varied role, you will run your own files from start to completion. 60% of this will cover wills and probate, lasting powers of attorney and estate work. 40% of your files will cover complex family matters such as ancillary relief.
Alongside running your own files, you will also supervise the files of more junior fee earners in the department.
Due to the excellent reputation of our client, there is lots of room for growth in the department. Therefore, someone who could get involved in marketing and business development would stand out.
The firm provides regular in house training sessions and experts are brought in to teach the fee earners, meaning you can really get the best out of your role.
The Candidate:
For this role, it is essential that you are highly skilled Solicitor in both Family and Private Client matters. The firm is ideally looking for someone who has at least eighteen months of experience in running their own files in these areas.
