Commercial Property Lawyer

We are looking for an experienced commercial property lawyer with wide ranging expertise including acquisitions, disposals, lease renewals and public sector led regeneration schemes. You will have a proven track record preferably gained in both the public and private sector and will be able to demonstrate highly developed negotiation and drafting skills. If you also have expertise in land assembly and compulsory purchase from start to general vesting declaration, that would be ideal.

The right candidate will be motivated, proactive and able to hit the ground running. You will also be able to manage a challenging case load and provide advice on complex matters.  Familiarity with or a good understanding of issues that arise in public sector regeneration schemes such as the procurement regime and housing delivery would be welcome. The post is open to applications from licensed conveyancers, chartered legal executives, solicitors and barristers.

Located in the heart of the Thames Gateway, Thurrock has one of the most exciting planning and regeneration agendas in the country; centred on 6 major growth hubs including London Gateway Port and Logistics Park (the largest of its kind in Europe) and Purfleet Centre, which will see the provision of up to 2,850 new homes, the creation of a new town centre and the provision of a range of employment opportunities. The scale of the local agenda presents an interesting mix of work for the specialist lawyer who relishes a challenge and the opportunity to help shape Thurrock’s future. If you have the skills to help us develop our potential, we will reward you with the chance to fulfil yours.

For an informal discussion about this post please contact Benita Edwards on 07966 891 705.
