Legal to put that experience and commitment to work helping consumers resolve their legal problems. We have 70,000 customers and our specialist team of expert legal advisers provide step by step telephone guidance to help them through a range of general legal issues.
To meet the needs of the ever increasing number of members to the Which? Legal service, we have also recently been given an amazing opportunity by the Solicitor's Regulation Authority which will give us the chance to improve our offerings to Which? members. We are all very excited for the future and want the right professionals to join us on this incredible journey.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Consumer adviser with previous telephone advice experience (essential) to join us on a temporary basis for a 12 month maternity cover. This is role is equivalent to a paralegal role.
Are we right for you?
The legal advisors can start the day with providing advice to a Landlord with the next call being about a flight delay and ending the day by providing advice to a member on a rogue trader. If you like the sound of the varied aspects of law that the role brings and the fast paced environment, then this could be the role for you! You'll speak with a variety of customers on a daily basis, building rapport and trust and offering expert legal advice.
This role is as much about delivering first rate customer service as it is about offering tailored legal support.
What you'll be doing
You’ll provide expert legal advice via telephone and email to our members in order to empower them in taking the next steps to resolve their matters. We are the Consumer champion so we need to make sure you have a good understanding of Consumer Law. You'll have a support team screening the initial calls and booking appointments into your diary. You'll also have a team of Paralegals, experienced Lawyer’s and managers to help you as you develop in role and career in Which?.
What we expect from you
You must have experience of giving legal advice on the phone in consumer law. To be considered for this role, you must either:
- Have completed the LPC/BPTC; or
- Be CILEX qualified with;
- Current experience in giving advice on consumer law.
- If you do not have the LPC/BPTC we would consider those that have a law degree as a minimum if they have prior experience of providing legal advice over the phone and by email
