Legal Counsel

Currently working with a Financial Services client who is developing and growing their In-house function. This is a great opportunity to be involved from the early days and develop your career in an environment that will actively encourage development. You will be working with Senior Counsel in a fast paced and challenging team.

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate excellent commercial and corporate skills as you will be drafting and negotiating agreements with customers, partners and suppliers, including back-to-back and subcontracting arrangements. You will also advise a rapidly developing company on legal issues affecting both day to day operations and the expansion of the business.

You are likely to be a 3-5 years PQE looking for the next level so will need to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; have the ability to meet critical deadlines; be able to operate autonomously by using initiative, reasoning and decision-making skills.

Although the role sits within a Financial Services environment it is not essential to have FS experience - this role is more about you having a good overall commercial background and this can have been gained in sectors such as Construction, Aviation etc. The role will be very much about your desire to progress within the In-house sector and work alongside like-minded colleagues.
