Banking Litigation Solicitor

The Role:

Excellent opportunity based in Cardiff for a Banking Litigation Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience. The firms Banking & Financial Services Litigation team is one of the largest teams in the market offering litigation services to banks, mortgage lenders and insurers. The Remit:

The successful Banking Litigation Solicitor will be required to deliver the following:

•Handle a caseload of banking and mortgage litigation cases including defended and sensitive reputational cases, breach of contract/mandate, fraud, Law of Property Act receivership advice and financial disputes

•Advise competently upon a range of contentious lending and recovery issues with moderate supervision

•Assess and progress a varied litigation caseload typically emanate from banks and mortgage lenders

•Assist senior solicitors upon larger cases and dealing with document management

•Support business development activities with clients and potential clients

About You:

The successful Banking Litigation Solicitor will be able to demonstrate the following:

•A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience gained within a City or leading national firm

•Experienced in acting for the Retail Corporate Banking and Wealth Management divisions of Banks; some structured product experience would also be helpful

•Possess a strong client focus with the ability to build lasting relationships

•Able to operate effectively within a team environment
