Team Leader – Planning & Regeneration
(Salary MG3 £56,886 to £63,867)
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic planning lawyer, who is committed to doing their best to support their clients and develop others, to lead our established planning and regeneration team.
 
HB Public Law is one of the country’s leading local authority legal practices and has offices in Harrow and Aylesbury. We are a Lexcel and IIP Gold accredited practice and pride ourselves on delivering a high quality service to six local authority clients, schools and other public bodies in London and the South East.

About the position
The successful candidate will be expected to lead and develop an existing and highly motivated team, as well as to personally undertake matters of a more complex nature. Duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:
•        Providing advice on matters arising from the Councils’ regeneration, highways and planning responsibilities including high profile corporate projects;
•        Advising senior officers and elected members at committee in a proactive and politically sensitive manner;
•        Overseeing and advising on CPO matters;
•        Acting as the senior liaison point for the practice’s planning clients; and
•        Supporting the strategic development of HB Public Law jointly with the other Team Leaders and Principal Lawyers.
The role will be based primarily in our Harrow office, which offers excellent transport links.  The post holder will serve multiple local authority clients and there will be travel required to other clients’ offices, including occasional evening committee attendance.   
 
About you
The successful candidate will not only have extensive previous planning law experience but will also be passionate about teamwork and developing others.  A high level of client contact will be involved in this role and therefore it is essential that you exhibit good client care skills and can build strong working relationships with others.
