NHS AfC: Band 8a
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week
Job ref: 282-OD5380
Salary: £46, 897 - £54, 983 pa inc
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust (RM) is a world leading cancer specialist hospital specialising in cancer care, treatment and research. With our academic partner, the Institute of Cancer Research, we form the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe. However as our Five Year Strategic Plan 2018/19 – 2023 sets out, our ambition is to grow our global reputation in service and research.
To support us in achieving our ambitions in research, we are seeking a legally qualified and experienced individual to lead on the contractual arrangements for our clinical trials. Reporting to the Trust Secretary and under the Chief Executive Directorate, this individual will work at the senior level of the organisation and in close liaison with the Associate Director of Research and Development in providing legal support and guidance to the clinical trials unit. A good understanding of the legal considerations regarding clinical trials and the ability to enter into high level negotiations with research collaborators and sponsors, including pharmaceutical companies, charities and universities, are key qualities required for this post holder.
Interviews will take place in Chelsea on 18th June 2018. If successful at this stage there will be a secondary meeting with the Associate Director of Research and Development in Sutton on the morning of the 22nd June.
