THE FIRM
A highly regarded law firm providing practical, high quality and commercially relevant legal advice to public, private and third sector organisations.
Our client has a strong reputation in the local authority and health markets advising clients operating in housing, infrastructure, education, leisure, highways, waste management and renewable energy under traditional, partnering and PFI/PPP arrangements.
THE ROLE
You will work in the Construction and Engineering team which forms part of our client's Commercial & Infrastructure department.
Our client advises on all standard form and bespoke documentation and have extensive experience of advising on all of the PPP models (including PFI) and the development of outsourcing and other partnership forms of working.
Our client's experienced team also advises clients on all their formal dispute resolution needs within the increasingly complex construction and engineering market.
You will be advising on: -
- development/regeneration schemes;
- energy and waste projects;
- social and economic infrastructure;
- construction and asset management,
- complex service outsourcing arrangements;
- professional negligence claims.
ABOUT YOU
With 1-3pqe or more you will have gained previous experience in contentious and ideally non-contentious construction work and are now seeking further challenges with the potential to become a big name in the construction and engineering sectors.
You will possess: -
- strong academics;
- an ability to manage your own time efficiently;
- excellent drafting and legal analysis skills;
- an ability to liaise effectively with clients.
You will be an ambitious solicitor who wants to take on challenging work in the development of your career. Our client has ambitious plans for growth and so career prospects are excellent for the successful candidate.
