a step change in the way that local authority legal services are delivered. Focused on outcomes and excellent customer service, we are rewriting the rulebook and these roles form an important part of our transformed One Team approach.

Contentious Lawyer
Salary up to £35,093 – position attracts car user allowance of £1,000 subject to criteria and relocation expenses may be offered

Are you a customer focused team-player, able to communicate clearly and concisely, qualified as a barrister, solicitor, legal executive or RFL with relevant experience in contentious law, ideally having dealt with prosecutions across a range of local government areas. If so, then we’d really like to hear from you. Attendance at court in Medway, Sevenoaks and occasionally London or elsewhere will be required.

Benefits include excellent annual leave, entry to the Local Government Pension Scheme, low interest car loan scheme and flexible working including home-working. Our partner councils all promote policies which support work-life balance and we are flexible about work arrangements for
the successful candidate.
