Job Details
Our client is a global life sciences innovator, based in Cambridge, that is looking to bring on board a solid Commercial & IP Solicitor to operate as Legal Counsel.
Reporting to the Head of Legal, and working within a small legal team, this role would ideally suit a mid-level Solicitor from a top private practice firm, considering their first permanent move in-house.
Typically, the role will include supporting the Head of Legal and the wider business on a range of cross-border commercial, corporate and IP matters including:
- Sales and master services agreements
- IP licensing and commercialisation
- Distribution agreements
- Ad hoc legal matters and advice on risk and compliance
- Providing sound legal advice to the Board, as well as Finance, HR, Commercial and Operations
- Working closely with outside Counsel.
To be considered for the role, the ideal candidate will be a UK qualified Solicitor, with at least 2/3 years' PQE+, an impressive private practice training, and at least a commercial secondment. Exceptional grounding in commercial contracts and IP is essential, and any experience within the life sciences sector would be advantageous. Strong commerciality, communication skills, and attention to detail are necessary.
