Job Details

We are recruiting for an In-House Solicitor to join this widely regarded organisation dedicated to supporting people with housing and homelessness issues and problems in Wales. The role is based in North Wales and the flexibility to work from Wrexham, Rhyl or Felinheli office is available.

You will need to be a Solicitor, ideally with a background in assisting individuals with advice and support on housing issues - ranging from what to do about bad housing, how to go about re-housing, dealing with discrimination on housing waiting lists, advice to people about homelessness and providing practical and legal support and advice to individuals and families about how to get back on their feet again.

This is an interesting role with an amazing organisation - you will be working as part of a dedicated team and although ideally you will have a background in housing law they will also be happy to provide re-train support to people who feel strongly about this social problem and who have a legal aid / public sector background.

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".

As a recruiter you have to network and speak to large amounts of people and lots of law firms to really understand the market and have the connections to match people with opportunity quickly when the time arises. A good recruiter needs to be Quick, Excellent and Dynamic in everything that they do. Allow the team at QED to demonstrate what they can do for your firm or your career.
