Location: South Shields, North East of England
Practice area: Trade Mark, Intellectual Property, Brand Protection, Commercial Contracts and generalist legal work
The Role
We are currently looking for a Solicitor to strengthen our Legal Team. The Solicitor will perform a wide range of generalist legal work including the provision of advice and drafting of agreements to Barbour’s group business functions managing legal risk and delivering commercial solutions.
Key Activities
This is a generalist role with a focus on IP management. Duties will include the drafting and negotiating of commercial agreements and taking responsibility for a full case load; agreements will be of varying size and complexity.
Skills and Experience
Qualified Solicitor of at least 4+ years’ PQE with significant experience of non-contentious and contentious IP and Trade Mark Management.
Management of IP and Trade Mark Portfolio including 2+ years’ experience of prosecuting applications and contentious matters in the EU and UK and managing similar proceedings via agents globally.
It would be desirable to be a qualified Trade Mark Attorney.
Good ‘all-round’ solicitor willing to proactively up-skill and learn different legal specialisms.
