This is an opportunity to join the largest Childrens Legal Service in the Country.
Birmingham Children’s Trust exists to make a positive difference for children, young people and families in the City.

You should be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister with current Practising Certificate or Lawyer with demonstrably equivalent skills, abilities and knowledge; able and committed to working in a flexible manner including outside normal office hours, when the role necessitates the same.
You will be expected to manage a varied workload of children’s safeguarding matters undertaking advocacy and providing high quality advice for internal clients.
Experience of children’s safeguarding is essential. Local Government experience and experience with no recourse to public funds and age assessment cases would also be an advantage
You must have an enhanced understanding of the Children Act 1989 and the Adoption and Children Act 2002, together with experience of advising on the interpretation of legislation; you will share our deepest commitment to the welfare of children and their families.
