We are expanding and looking for two talented, creative and committed lawyers to join us to develop their practices in these areas.

 

Role 1: Solicitor, 6+ years PQE, Public Law and Human Rights Department

Start date: September 2018

We are recruiting a solicitor with extensive knowledge of constitutional, regulatory and contentious work for charity and third sector organisations, with at least 6+ years PQE.

Applicants should have a good knowledge of the funding environment for the charity and third sector. Knowledge of all or at least one of the following is required along with general public and regulatory law experience:

  • grant funding;
  • public contracts; and
  • philanthropy or social finance.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience in a range of regulatory and contentious work for charities and third sector organisations, which may include representing and advising charities in matters such as:

  • meeting the Public Benefit Test;
  • social investing;
  • trustee disqualification; serious incident reporting; and
  • safeguarding.

Knowledge and experience and experience in one or more of the following areas is also desirable:

  • non-contentious work for charities and third sector organisations, including in respect of establishing and restructuring such organisations information law including obligations under the GDPR;
  • procurement and state aid law;
  • health and social care law;
  • professional disciplinary work (for example for GPs, accountants and solicitors); and
  • education law.
